Why I volunteer
(Jill Edmonson, volunteer since 2011)

''I really do enjoy volunteering for Alzheimer's Australia NSW.  It is such a worthwhile cause.  I love volunteering at the Memory Walk & Jog series around NSW, a day that is so positive and uplifting. These events are so important as they raise valuable funds for research, education and support to those living with dementia and their carers. I have also been fortunate to attend conferences, one of which was held in Sydney last year and there were people from all over the world. It was so interesting to be able to meet, greet and share our ideas, stories and information and to be able to assist each other in our common cause. Volunteering has given me an opportunity to meet so many wonderful people. It certainly has been a privilege.''
